The One Pizza You Should Never Order from Papa John’s According to a Former Employee

Papa John’s

Based on his experience, he has some praise and some warnings.
Everyone knows Papa John’s infamous tagline. Tell us: Better ingredients, better pizza, Papa John’s. But are these six words true? In the opinion of the former manager who went to Reddit last week, at least somewhat.

The user, whose username is sikkerhet, said to the team of commentators was well aware of their next pizza order. “They have the better ingredients,” he writes. “The sauce is amazingly high quality, and the vegetables are all fresh.” That sauce? This is very good; the user revealed it because it is full of sweet sugar.

The former manager somewhat spilled the ingredients that go into Papa John’s garlic sauce. (Hint: it’s a lot of butter.) If you want to make it yourself, here are the sikkerhet instructions:

“To make a decent garlic butter sauce,” he wrote, “sauté a few cloves of peeled [or] minced garlic until it starts to get soft, cut the heat to a low simmer, add two entire sticks of butter, some basil, some parsley, and some salt. The heat should be just enough to melt the butter and not much more. If you prefer garlic powder, skip the first step and mix in a lot of garlic powder with the spices. … If you’re using it on a crust [or] bread, you’ll want to add parmesan to it.”
All is well, former manager Papa John also gave some warnings to customers. First of all, never order the chain’s spinach Alfredo pizza. According to sikkerhet, this specialty is not always ordered, which means the sauce will perish quickly – meaning it will still be there on the top.

“Papa John’s spinach alfredo sauce, which is delicious but can only be ordered once a week, and it crosses its sell-by date three days after you open the bag,”,” he wrote. “But no one will throw it away until it disappears or looks bad.”
It would help if you also stayed away from John’s Favorite pizza, a pie with “pepperoni, sausage, and a six-cheese blend of mozzarella, Parmesan, Romano, Asiago, provolone, and fontina,” according to the menu. Put mildly, sikkerhet wrote, “John’s Favorite is awful. It’s just grease on top of grease.”
